Earlier this year, Achalasia Action launched its new documentary, No Longer Alone: Achalasia Stories, with special screenings in London and Manchester.
Directed and filmed by Guido Zanghi and produced by Achalasia Action, the documentary shares the personal experiences of people living with achalasia, as well as the loved ones who have supported them through diagnosis, treatment and everyday life with the condition.
Through honest and moving personal stories, No Longer Alone: Achalasia Stories explores what it can feel like to live with unexplained symptoms, to struggle to be heard, and to finally discover that there are other people who understand.
The film also highlights one of the most important messages behind Achalasia Action: no one affected by achalasia should have to face it alone. By sharing real stories, the documentary helps raise awareness, improves understanding, and helps build connection within the achalasia community.
Whether you are living with achalasia, supporting someone who is, or learning about the condition through someone close to you, we hope this documentary offers insight, reassurance and a sense of connection.
